Multiple Sclerosis is a very serious disease affecting the nervous system. It affects more than 2.5 million people around the world (Green, 2013). This disease has been found to have several societal, economic, and environmental risk factors affecting it, as well as genetic ones. The socioeconomic status of a person plays a huge role on whether they are able to get the correct medical help they need for their condition. Genetics also plays an important role in Multiple Sclerosis but has not shown a strong correlation to the socioeconomic status a person may have. The environment where one lives is important to figuring out the socioeconomic status of a person, Where they live may cause discrepancies which may lead to health issues and ultimately Multiple Sclerosis.

How many are aware of this? If a lot, how come no one is affected by doing anything or implementing fair policies? Why do countries allow industries companies to be near neighborhoods in which affects people's health?

Multiple Sclerosis is an increasing issue worldwide with an 10% increase in affected patients, (Jeff Nickel, 2011). As of now, health inequities can cause the development of this multifactorial disease. These health inequities are environmental, societal, and economic factors. These inequities are present all over the world, and affect many diseases as well as Multiple Sclerosis. An environmental inequity supports a theory in which suggests Vitamin D deficiency is responsible for causing or help develop Multiple Sclerosis. Depending if a person lives farther away from the equator or eats a diet with sufficient vitamin D can affect their risk in developing Multiple Sclerosis. This correlation between diet and vitamin D can lead to discover better solutions for today's generation in which may be the influential factor for the increase of these disease.

What are the differences in races that can develop Multiple Sclerosis over time?

Multiple sclerosis or MS can potentially be a disabling disease of the brain and spinal cord which is the central nervous system. The immune system attacks the protective sheath that covers nerve fibers and causes communication problems between the brain and the rest of the body. The disease can cause the nerves themselves to wear out or become permanently damaged. Signs and symptoms of multiple sclerosis vary widely and depend on the amount of nerve damage and which nerves are affected. MS is known to be brought in people living far from the equator. A study has shown that people who move from the equator have a high risk of having MS to a lower risk area before the age of 15, become that low risk. Socioeconomic status is an economic and sociological combined total measure of a person's work experience and of an individual's or family's economic and social position in relation to others, based on income, education, and occupation.
